Many criticize her for the fall.
But I see something different.
I see a woman who was resilient.
A woman who was searching, questioning, and longing for more.
Perhaps she trusted the serpent because the leadership she needed from her husband as a man of God was not fully present in that moment.
So she stepped into something she should not have…
Trying to reach for what she thought was wisdom.
And unfortunately, it became the downfall.
It is easy to blame someone when we only look at the surface without seeing the full picture.
But when I look at Eve, I see a woman who was brave.
A woman who was strong.
A woman who was bold.
Yes, she was naive.
Yes, she made a mistake.
But she was also searching for something she felt was missing.
Just like Sarah later tried to fulfill God’s promise her own way, Eve reached beyond the boundary God had set and humanity still lives with the consequences today.
Yet even in that…
I thank her.
Because if the fall had never happened, I may have never known the depth of God’s redemption through my King Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.
Sometimes mistakes become the doorway to destiny.
What was meant for destruction became the stage for the greatest rescue story ever written.
